Hayley Atwell has been cast as the love interest in the much-anticipated movie Captain America: The First Avenger (out July 2011) opposite Chris Evans.The Duchess actress, who turned 28 last week, will play Peggy Carter (in the early comics, fell in love with Captain America while they fought together in the war effort). Marvel Studios says the character will be updated for the feature adaptation.
Joe Johnston will direct the film penned by Christopher Markus wnd Stephen McFeely. Filming begins in London this summer.
